Who We Are

Simpit is run by a small team of aviation and flight simulation enthusiasts who got tired of digging through scattered forum threads every time we wanted to know whether a new joystick, pedal set, or throttle quadrant was actually worth buying. We built this site to be the resource we wished existed: clear, practical guides for MSFS 2024 and X-Plane 12 hardware and home cockpit builds.

How We Choose What to Cover

We don’t claim to have personally flown every unit we write about. Instead, each guide is built from manufacturer specifications and documentation, long-running community discussions (forums, Reddit, Discord communities for MSFS and X-Plane), patterns across verified purchaser reviews on retailers like Amazon, and, where available, third-party benchmark or teardown coverage.

We cross-check these sources against each other rather than repeating a single review, and we flag it clearly in a guide when the evidence is thin or reviews are mixed.
